So as the world knows, Kanye West dropped a historic visual last night around the world. The specific picture above is from the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
I chose to put just the photo and not video because that’s not what was behind his vision. Mr. West chose to not go the typical YouTube release route and instead decided to project the video on buildings around the world. 66 specific locations to be exact, ranging anywhere from Toronto, the Chanel store on Rodeo Drive in HollyWood, Millennium Park in Chicago and even the Versace Hotel in Australia.
It released in a few places yesterday night, 5/17/13. Rapping over a crazy beat Yeezi releases a new track entitled, New Slaves. Nonetheless, a classic cold Kanye track.
All I have to say is whether you’re a fan or not you have to appreciate what this man just did. You have just witnessed history in hip hop, history in technology, and just the power of humans. Bringing together people around the world to leave technology behind but at the same time using it and its advantages to showcase music for people outdoors. Wild. Genius. Powerful.
